Lately I've been doing a bit of speaking at different schools about overcoming challenges, saying no to peer pressure and building up inner confidence.
The idea (supposedly) is that I inspire the girls but for me, it's been completely the opposite!!
Last week, one beautiful 14 year old girl told me how she has no time for homework because each day she takes care of her three siblings after school. She walks them home, cooks them dinner and puts them to bed (in the bedroom that the four of them share) until a parent gets home.
I was so grateful to hear what life is like for her and so inspired by how strong and kind she is. So many beautiful people out there with stories that are so real.
SHE completely enriched MY life. #grateful @realyou_insta
Loved talking to this awesome bunch of Year 12 students this morning about resilience, overcoming obstacles and letting go of self judgement. They totally inspired me with their examples and sweet smiles! @realyou_insta
Throwing it 🔙 in honour of #internationaltennisday (who knew that existed?😐) This morning I spoke to a group of people about how my experiences as a professional tennis player taught me so much as a person. Without the challenges and opportunities that came with traveling the world as a tennis player, no way would I be the person I am today @realyou_insta 💕🎾
