I was working out one day when I heard the word TAPESTRY! When I thought of the designs I'd created, I said they don't really remind me of tapestry work which is generally small various pieces of fabric woven together. Once I got home from my workout, the light came on. The revelation of what I'd heard became clear. Tapestry doesn't speak so much to the concept of my fashion line or the designs per say but more so to my life, the life of the creator. Naturally tapestry is a fabric consisting of a warp upon which colored threads are woven by hand to produce a design, often pictorial, used for wall hangings, furniture coverings, etc. Metaphorically speaking, tapestry speaks to how all the things I've experienced have been woven together to bring me to this beautiful moment, this beautiful creation. A formation of a picture of all the pieces I once was trying to put together on my own. All these things, I have learned either in joy or pain, have been strategically and artistically put into a tapestry of something beautiful. While the masterpiece of what the creator has put together isn't done, what is seen now is certainly apparent enough to know that He didn't waste any piece of thread but allowed each piece to serve as a unique and beautiful part of His grand work.
