Abu Bakr (Radhi'Allahu Anhu) is reported to have said that the more knowledge you acquire, the more humble we should be. We should understand that knowledge is also a blessing of Allah ﷻ and we shouldn't misuse this blessing and look down or being judgemental towards others. Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi ؒ said, 'To become pious is compulsory, but to consider oneself pious is haram'. We must understand that just as Allah has blessed us with deen, he can take it away from us and he has done in the past to people who had a large following, they had memorised the whole Quran but their desires led them astray from the straight path. I conclude by mentioning a story in which a person asked a bird, when you fly, where do you look? Does flight that high not create pride in your heart that nobody can reach me because I'm so high? So the bird replied, O Insaan, I maybe flying in the skies, but my glance is always on the earth. May Allah grant us humility and protect us from all the diseases of the heart #TagAStudent#TagAMuslim#BenefitOthers#Tasawwuf#Quote#IslamicQuote#IslamicStory#Islam#IslamicReminder#StudentOfKnowledge#Deen#Nature#Humility#Humbleness#Kindness#GoodQualities#Pride#Ego#Selfishness#BadQualities

A very strange incident took place just today which deserves to be shared... my sister was on her way back from work and walking through town. As she was walking, she noticed a lady with two flowers like these and approached my sister. Then trying her best to say 'Assalamualaykum' then she said I'd like to give you this flower as a sign of solidarity, for everything that has transpired, and what you Muslims have to face. Subhan'Allah, Allah ﷻ says in the Quran 'And don't assume Allah is unaware with regards to what the oppressors do'. Allah is aware of ever action, plan and scheme of theirs, but he's testing us through them and using them as a means to unite us and bring our hearts together. If we do well, pass this test and represent Islam in the best way possible (which we are doing well so far Alhamdulillah), then he will create beautiful hearts like these to come and console us. However, this reward is nothing in comparison to what Allah has in store for us in the hereafter. May Allah bless beautiful hearts like these, grant them all Hidaayah, and protect us all from all types of evil #Islam#TrueStory#Muslim#Muslimah#InstaIslam#KindnessToAll#Flower#BeautifulPeople#BeautifulHearts#BeautifulStories
Imam Tabrani ؒ says I am amazed by the one who recites the Quran but does not learn it's Tafseer... How will they taste the sweetness of his recitation ? There are 414 books sent from the heavens, all summarised in the Quran and the whole Quran is summarised in Surah Fatiha. Surah Fatiha is known as many names (which will be posted in my story In'Shaa Allah) but two of them are Ummul Kitab (The mother of the book) and Ar-Ruqya (The healer from evil eyes/Jinns etc.). In the initial stages of Islam, the Sahabah (Radhi'Allahu Anhum) used to pray this Surah over the diseased and they used to be cured immediately Subhan'Allah. We pray this Surah daily in every salah, but does it go past our throats? That's why our beloved Ulema have made books like these, in order to benefit people like us so we can at least try to become the best Muslim we can be and strive to inspire and encourage others to become a better Muslim also. May Allah grant us all true understanding of his Deen #Islam#Tafseer#Ulema#Maulana#Mufti#Shaykh#ShaykhAbdurRaheemLimbada#MuftiAbdurRaheemSaheb#MaulanaAbdurRaheemLimbada#Quran#Ilm#KnowledgeForTheSeeker#SurahFatiha#QuranTafseer#Book#IslamicBooks#LookingForwardToThis
Allah says in the Quran has he not found you lost, and guided you? Has he not found you wandering, and showed you the way? Allahu Akbar, this verse is soo beautiful because when you're sad, you can refer to this, and remember the whole world would leave you, but Allah is always with you. The whole world can kick you away, but Allah will protect you. If the whole world boycott you, Allah would provide from places you wouldn't have imagined... All you have to to is ask... so what you waiting for? Ask him, he's waiting for you to ask... Also I'd like to apologise to brother @huzzy_fuzzi as he's made a really informative description for this picture. My weak captions are no match to his. I've only made it concise for those who are caused Takleef by lengthy paragraphs. If you want to read more, be sure you check his profile. A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet (PBUH) said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim)
A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: “(Then) stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
On another occasion, the Prophet said: “God has forbidden for you to be undutiful to your mothers.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari) #Hadith#ProphetMuhammad#Mother#Islam#VoiceOfTheOppressed#Islam#LoveOfMother#Muslim#Muslimah#RamadhanInSyria#Syria#LandOfTheOppressed
Once a woman by the name of Asmaa Al Ansariyya (Radhi'Allahu Anhaa) was sent to the prophet ﷺ on behalf of the women to ask a question. She said Ya Rasullullah, Allah sent you to the men and to the women. However, we see that Allah has given males preference over the females due to things like the congregational prayer (which is x27 better than praying at home), they can go out in the path of Allah and do things we can't do as we're restricted and confined to our homes. So the prophet ﷺ asked the Sahabah have you heard a question better than the question of this woman? (Indicating her intelligence). They remarked, we've never thought a woman would ask such a question. The prophet ﷺ said "Pass my salams to the women who sent you and understand this, just by being a good companion, equals to all (the actions) that the men are doing". Subhan'Allah such a beautiful Hadith. People think Islam oppresses women, but this is the prophet ﷺ honouring them and showing the males that this is their better half. Islam elevated the status of women from beneath the ground, to so high that Jannah lies beneath their feet #Ramdhan#Woman#Muslimah#Hijab#Niqab#Women#Ramadhan2017#RamadhanReminder#PricelessAdvice#Hadith#ProphetMuhammad#Islam#IslamicReminder#WomenInIslam#StepsToRighteousness#CharacterOfAMuslimah#QualitiesOfABeliever#WomenOfJannah#DaughtersOfIslam
As Muslims, our lives must embody good manners and character.
Being a Muslim extends far beyond attending the Masjid and general acts of worship, such as Ṣalāh, Zakāh, Ṣawm, Ḥajj etc.
Rather, it is being considerate to one another (Muslims and non-Muslims alike), through everyday gestures which truly allow our characters to shine and enable us to represent the true face of Islām.
Muftī Muḥammad ibn Ādam al-Kawthari stated on a facebook status: "It is from the basic Islamic teachings to park one’s vehicle in a manner that does not inconvenience others. Bad parking habits such as blocking people’s driveways and other entrances, parking on street corners, parking on a turning of a junction, etc… are not only sinful, but give people an opportunity to malign Islam and its beautiful teachings. And no, such bad habits are NOT justified when attending prayers at the Masjid or dropping children off to the Madrassah; in fact, there is a greater responsibility of ensuring not to misrepresent Islām! We are not doing Allāh a favour and, as such, there is no reward in trying to perform a righteous act but harming others along the way! The Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه و سلم) even forbade people from coming to the Mosque with bad odour, as not to harm others with one’s foul smell." He had also recently tweeted, "Park cars 'legally' at Tarāwīḥ prayers, without causing inconvenience - even if it means parking at a distance and walking to the Masjid." #Adab#IslamicReminder#Islam#EttiquettesAndPrinciples#GoodMorals#GoodPrinciples#QualitiesOfABeliever#Muslim#Muslimah
One forgotten sunnah is to avoid causing inconvenience to others. Even if it be by removing an obstacle from a pathway. Without thinking we just throw harsh words on others without thinking how much it would hurt them and give them emotional distress. Luqman The Wise is reported to have said "I have never regretted my silence. As for my speech, I have regretted it over and over again". The prophet ﷺ is reported to have said in Bayhaqi, "Solitude is better than being in bad company and good company is better than solitude. Saying what is good is better than silence, and silence is better than saying what is bad". As this blessed month of Ramadhan arrives, let us try to implement this forgotten sunnah into our lives, let us try to avoid burning our deeds quicker than the burning of fire wood and try our best to surround ourselves with people who bring benefit to us both in the Dunya and Aakhirah #ForgottenSunnah#GoodCharacter#GoodMorals#GoodPrinciples#SpreadingKindness#Muslimah#Muslim#Tongue#SafeguardingTheTongue#QualitiesOfABeliever#CharacterOfAMuslim#InstaIslam#IslamicReminder#Islam#Naseeha#MuslimAdvice
