Ibn al Qayyim ؒ said: The Prophet ﷺ used to greet the children when he passed by them. Sometimes, a little girl would take him by the hand and he would allow her to lead him wherever she wanted. He ﷺ would be in the service of his family when at home. Never would he become angry because of something personal. He ﷺ used to repair his own sandals and mend his own torn clothes. He would milk his goat himself for his own family. He used to feed his own camel. He used to eat with his servant, sit in the company of poor people, and personally take care of the needs of widows and orphans. He would be the one to initiate the greeting when meeting people. He would respond to the humblest of invitations. He ﷺ lived a very modest lifestyle, a man of soft manner, naturally kind, easy to get along with, having a pleasant smile on his face, gracefully humble, extremely generous but not wasteful, soft-hearted and gentle in his dealings with each and every Muslim, lowering the wings of humility to the believers, bearing their companionship in such a gentle way.

Maulana Qasim Nanotwi ؒ used to have immense love and compassion for roses. Seeing this Maulana Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi ؒ asked him "Why do you love Roses so much?". Maulana Qasim Nanotwi ؒ replied "I came across this one Daeef (Weak) hadith which mentioned that the perspiration of the prophet ﷺ is placed in Roses. After reading that one Hadith, I fell love with roses". Subhan'Allah, look at how much love the righteous had for the messenger of Allah ﷺ. May Allah ﷻ grant us true love and compassion for the messenger of Allah ﷺ #IslamicReminder#Hadith#MaulanaQasimNanotwi#Islam#Reminder#InstaIslam#Rose#Sunnah#LoveForTheProphet#SaintsOfIslam#Righteousness
One day a poor man brought a bunch of grapes to the Holy Prophet ﷺ as a gift. He was very excited to be able to bring a gift for the Prophet ﷺ. He placed the grapes beside the Prophet ﷺ and said, ‘O Prophet of Allah, please accept this small gift from me’. He was a poor man who could not afford more. His face beamed with happiness as he offered his small gift. It was evident that he loved the Prophet a lot.
The Prophet ﷺ thanked him graciously. As the man looked at him expectantly, the Prophet ate one grape. The Prophet smiled at him. Then the Prophet ate another one. Slowly the Prophet finished the whole bunch of grapes by himself. He did not offer the grapes to anyone present. The poor man who brought those grapes was very pleased and left happily.
The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who were around him were surprised. Usually the Prophet ﷺ shared whatever he got with them. He would offer them whatever he was given and they would eat it together. Usually he would start first, out of respect to the person who had given him the gift. But he would always offer it to others. This time had been different. Without offering it to anyone, the Prophet ﷺ finished the bunch of grapes by himself.
One of the companions asked most respectfully, “O Prophet of Allah! How come you ate all the grapes by yourself and did not offer to any one of us present?” The holy Prophet ﷺ smiled and said, “I ate all the grapes by myself because the grapes were sour. If I would have offered you, you might have made funny faces and shown your distaste of the grapes which would have hurt the feelings of that poor man. I thought to myself that it’s better that I eat all of them cheerfully and please the poor man. I did not want to hurt the feelings of that man". #Consideration#Graciousness#Kindness#GoodCharacter#PropheticCharacter#IslamicReminder#Islam#ProphetMuhammad#InstaIslam#SunnahFoods#OrganicFood#Grapes
Some ulama have translated this also as watermelon’ instead of musk-melon, the reason being, as in the first narration, here also the cold effect is intended. But it is clear that musk-melon is meant here. The reason for eating dates is also that it gives the melon a sweeter taste. It is not necessary that one’s benefit be gauged everywhere. It is possible that this is due to some other benefits. According to this humble servant the eating of watermelon with dates has its own benefit and that is to create evenness in the effect of both, so that it becomes mild. The eating of musk-melon with dates has its own benefit and that is that if the melon is insipid and tasteless, many a time, due to it being insipid sugar is mixed before it is eaten. Therefore it is not necessary to give the same reasons for both watermelon and musk-melon. It has also been recommended by Rasul Allah ﷺ for women who are expecting, to eat Musk Melon. This will instil good character, good qualities and good features in the child. #SunnahFoods#InstaIslam#IslamicReminder#Deen#Islam#Sunnah#OrganicFood#NaturesFinest#Nature#Melon
When you hear the word Hijab and Modesty what comes to mind? A way of dressing? A form of fashion? A style? A method of impressing? Neither of these correctly define the terms. Literally the word Hijab means to veil/shelter/cover/prevent. But what are we covering/sheltering/preventing ourselves from? The answer is simple, immodesty, immorality, indecency, sins, temptations, and to set such standards that your character won't be defined as cheap, rather it's worth more than all the wealth of the world combined. Now I'm not only referring to sisters, I'm also referring to brothers. Because out of all the companions, which one was known to have such Modesty that even the Angels were modest from him? Just like a sister should guard and protect herself, brothers we must also protect ourselves and others from the temptations of the world. By protecting others I don't mean criticise them and decide if they're going hell or not. That's not our decision. There are some people who cover up and practice but have the worst of characters and on the other hand there are people who don't practice but they have the best of characters. It could be that just because of this act of you looking down upon them, you could be deprived and them be blessed with the ability to cover. We should look at one another and advice with love and affection. That's the way forward, unity and Muhabbah! If you got nothing good to say, then it's better to remain silent. They will go into their graves and you will go in yours. On both sides, one shouldn't consider himself as a perfect believer, until they try their best to perfect themselves both internally and externally. Just like a tree, it only stands if it's roots are deep and its trunk is high. If it lacks either one of them, it won't last. Similarly we should try our best to bring good qualities into our life, and advice others with compassion and with kindness. If they don't listen, make Dua for them. Then seeing that you tried your best, leave it to Allah to do the rest. #Hijab#Modesty#modestyhijab#Islam#IslamicReminder#InstaIslam#Niqab#Muslim#Muslimah#hijabfashion#hijabstyle#Sunnah#GoodCharacter#Akhlaaq
In my local area a reptile shop had opened, initially I had gone in with the intention of holding a few reptiles. Particularly the snake, as I've been fascinated by snakes especially after one of my recent posts. If they're a creature of punishment, why has Allah ﷻ made different types of them? Scientifically, only 700,000 different species of animals/reptiles have been explored. Amongst the unexplored is such a snake, that if it's eyes was to glance at an expecting mother, then she'd have a miscarriage. Furthermore, whilst I was looking around, someone approached me and a few friends of mine asking if we wanted to hold the snake. They also mentioned that snakes can sense pheromone levels which includes the fear of every individual near them. Immediately the verse 'Verily around you are signs for those who possess intelligence' came to mind. So that is when I realised, just like the different types of snakes (of the Dunya) can sense your fear from your pheromone levels, the snakes of the Aakhirah, can sense your sins and disobedience from the darkness of your soul. For this reason my dear brothers and sisters, let it not be that you sleep without praying Ishaa and wake up in the grave. If you was to start praying, wallahi you'd notice a change, peace, tranquility and many blessings in your life. Don't wait for ramadhan, start now, so when Ramadhan arrives, you can step up the game In'Shaa Allah. May Allah change all of our hearts for the better and make us all great leaders of the Muslim Ummah #IslamicReminder#Islam#Snakes#Reptiles#Dunya#Aakhirah#PunishmentOfTheGrave#Hereafter#Afterlife#CreationOfAllah#IslamicComparison#IslamicPosts#InstaIslam
The Quran was revealed 600 years before the Muslim scientist Ibn Nafees described the circulation of blood and 1000 years before William Harvey brought this understanding to the western world. Roughly 13 centuries before it was discovered what happens in the intestines, to ensure that organs are nourished by the process of digestive absorption, this verse of the Quran described the source of constituents of milk, in conformity with these notions.
To understand the Quranic verse concerning the above concepts, it is important to acknowledge that chemical reactions occur in the intestines and that, from there, substances extracted from the food pass into the blood stream via a complex system; sometimes by the way of the liver, depending on their chemical nature. The blood transports them to all the organs of the body, amongst which are the milk-producing mammary glands. #QuranAndScience#Quran#Islam#IslamicReminder#InstaIslam#Cow#Cattle#Animals#WildlifeMiracles#IslamAndScience#Science#MiracleOfTheQuran
Don't wait for ramadhan to become a better Muslim. Try starting now so that by the time ramadhan is here, you'll already be in second gear. For those who haven't started practicing, step by step, work your way up. Never leave salah, even if you need to pray it fast, pray it but don't leave it. Don't worry about all the haters and critics, you won't be questioned regarding their assumptions, rather you'll be questioned about your heart and good deeds, so work on becoming a better Muslim and leave the rest to Allah. The only person we should try to be better than, is the person we were yesterday #IslamicReminder#Rajab#Ramadhan#Islam#InstaIslam#ChangeForTheBetter#Motivation#Pray#Pious#Righteous
Let's just assume this Roadrunner would give up. What would happen? It would be swallowed. However, despite the strike of this rattlesnake being 15ft per second (the fastest striking snake), and the fact that this snake kills more than any other snake in North America, this roadrunner never gave up, it had hope and defeated his enemy for which, he was rewarded. Similarly, in life we have many problems, we should never give up, keep fighting. The nafs and shaytan wants the worst from you, but Allah the almighty wants the best for you. Keep trying, have hope and Allah will reward you with the best of abodes; Jannah, In'Shaa Allah. All you have to do is have hope, keep fighting (your desires and shaytan), and put your trust in Allah #LessonsOfLife#RattleSnake#RoadRunner#Desert#LessonToLearn#Reminder#Animals#Reptiles#Birds#Survival#Courage#Hope#Motivation#Inspiration
