I was planning on taking pictures of this look last night, but as I was getting lights and things set up my husband called! I don't know why I stopped in the middle of the call, took this candid (kinda but not really) shot, or why I'm posting it now...but happy Friday!
Lips are Oh My Dolly from #wetnwildbeauty 💖
Cool tones have a special place in my heart 💙💜 Is it ridiculous that colors feel like neutrals to me at this point?! 😅 I will be sharing a video tutorial for this look in a few days! Trying to work out the best day and time to post my videos. Then I can let you know which day they will go up in an effort to be as consistent as possible 😉
Used the @nyxcosmetics Ultimate Cool Neutrals Palette on my eyes and @katvondbeauty Requiem Liquid Lipstick!
Used @sugarpill and @nyxcosmetics Gel Liner on the eyes, the @makeuprevolutionusa Sugar and Spice Blush Palette on the cheeks, and @wetnwildbeauty Oh My Dolly and @urbandecay White Lie Lip Topper for the lips 💙💖
I'm sure there are scientific statistics out there about the best time to share videos and posts and such but I know jack about any of that...so you're getting an early Friday morning video! Just made this live. Thank you so so much to those of you who watch, subscribe, comment, etc. I'm having a lot of fun making videos, it really makes me happy, and I hope they can give you a little happiness too 💚💚💚
The look I wore for our anniversary last night! The actual day is tomorrow but unfortunately tomorrow is a regular old boring Monday with my husband working all day and me tending to my normal responsibilities 😉 Will share the details shortly!
I call attention to my imperfections with hopes and wishful thoughts of helping others by presenting real and unaltered images of my face, skin, and makeup, whatever a mess those things might be!
What a difference lighting makes right?? You guys know I do not edit my photos (except for color accuracy) and while these photos look so different, it's all because of lighting!
There have been so many times I've been discouraged trying to take pictures of my makeup only for them to come out...not so lovely and flattering like the beautiful pictures we scroll through all the time. Indoor natural light is obviously BOMB. I can get a pretty "flawless" photo purely because I'm lucky to have a nice camera and natural light, not because I actually look like the first picture in all conditions throughout the day. Direct sunlight on the other hand, much more brutal!
If you get discouraged with photos too, don't be fooled. Does it take skill to apply a nice face of makeup? Of course. But even without editing, you can get a damn good picture due to lighting alone and not everyone is lucky enough to have a fancy camera and access to beautiful lighting. These are all real representations of how makeup looks on my skin, and no one looks like their perfect naturally lit photos all the time. Start taking pictures in direct sunlight and the truth comes out 😉
Neutrals are so much better with bright colors 😉
