As I passed through China Town to get to the place where I am staying, I saw a lady burning fake money. Not sure if it was a ritual or if she just needed to get rid of it. Loved this quick picture though
Every time I come to NYC, my experience stays consistently this.
1. Complete awe and reverence. Highly fashionable, exciting energy with endless possibilities
2. Ok I hate the train, too many people, too materialistic and somewhat energy draining. This feeling starts clicking in around day 4 or 5
3. I'm ready to get to my quiet little space amiss lush green trees.
Bottom line is, I love the city, however My soul yearns for peace and quiet. Although merger I feel blessed to be able to visit as an observer!! There is no place like NYC in the whole world 🍏
I got this red silk robe for my mom while in Vietnam earlier this year but my sisters been rocking it non stop. I know it is such a minor thing, but darn it, be proud of who you are and rock it proudly.
My sister brought up how our mother always got us educational toys while growing up for our birthdays or holidays. In particular, my sister once got a United Nations flag set with flags from every UN country. We literally had flags everywhere on our room. I once got a map puzzle of the world to decorate my windows.
She always encouraged us to learn and explore and we definitely inherited those qualities. It is so nice to be able to take out those desires together.
