Shine on you crazy diamond...
So we have this accidental model agency. My husband, @jerrymundy, very artsy guy. All American wide receiver in college, however, was shooting for Wilhelmina NY and dancing in a modern dance company in New York when I met him in his 30's. If he could cook I'd call him a renaissance man. So we're working with these 2 kids for the last 2 months putting together modeling portfolios for them. I work on marketing them to the right people, and 2 weeks ago they both get contracts with 2 of the biggest mother agencies. What ⁉️ the What ⁉️ So while making no promises, we're looking for our next 2. And we may need to work with 10 to find them. We know that. But we love the work, love to see the kids confidence grow, love to watch them get comfortable with the camera, and then start to own it. And to watch them learn to think and speak and work hard to turn their dreams into reality. What do you think think about the name Accidental Agency? It probably doesn't imbue enough confidence, but sometimes life sneaks up on you and hands you this crazy gift. And you realize you're really good at something. Lauren was a referral by a friend who said to us, I know this girl at my church.... Who do you know?

I love photographing expectant couples/families/moms! LOVE! . . . . .
Normally I'm all about those long captions but all I've got for you on this one is - DETAILS, y'all. 😍 Goodness I can't wait to share this whole session in a few weeks!
Happy Tuesday! Here's a tip for you if you're having trouble creating bright, clean looking images: use a neutral foreground and background where possible! Neutral colors serve as a natural reflector, allowing you to create some seriously amazing shots! This whole session with Josh + Grace was a dream and I can't wait for their wedding!! For more tips you can implement for immediate improvement, subscribe to my mailing list and receive new ones every Monday! Link in bio! ❤
Tonight I spent the majority of my evening responding to emails. Sometimes I get caught up in feeling like tons of inquiries is what success is solely defined by, but tonight I wasn't responding to any inquiries at all. When I launched my email list for photography tips, I didn't really know what to expect. I felt like if 1 person subscribed, or 100 and they found encouragement and walked away learning something new through me sharing the lessons I've learned, it's worth it. Tonight I was responding to photographers looking for advice, looking for an outlet, and I was able to just let God use me to speak life to these girls. I've had nights where I've been up to my eyeballs in session inquiries, but I've never felt more success than I do tonight. This is how we were called to live. Join us using the link in my bio! I'd love nothing more than the opportunity to love on ya and encourage you through your greatest successes and your seasons of doubt. ❤
I'm just going to leave this stunning wedding gown right here because it reminds me of one of my better days. Just got out of a meeting to a billion calls and texts that my dog is running through the neighborhood, and I'm like WOOPS I forgot to put her back inside, please excuse the circus that I'm running. •• here's a humble reminder at the expense of my super entertaining day that we all have our days and today I'm about as useless as a chicken with its head cut off. 👍🏼
Just got home and I can tell tomorrow's going to hit me hard when it comes to a wedding photographer hangover, but Sarah was probably the most radiant bride I've had.... ever. Despite tonight's storms, this was an incredible wedding to kick off the second half of my
of 2017! I loved celebrating with Sarah + Hunter tonight.
When your friends haven't had professional pictures done since they got married 5 years ago, you force them to be models for you because that's just unacceptable 😊 Love these two!!
Today I met with a 2018 bride to get her officially on the books, and I was looking at my calendar and feeling so, crazy excited for next year. I'm human, and it's easy to get so caught up in the hustle that you forget your purpose. But every time I meet with a new bride and get to take my time and really get to know them over coffee or a meal, I remember the foundation I set for this business: Friendship. If I had a wedding every weekend, there would be no time for that, there would be no freedom to carve out intentional family time, there would be no time to reserve a weekend during peak wedding season for a
annually. My primary goal for this business was never to have a full set of books 100% of the time, to be overrun, exhausted, or to make the maximum amount of money. I started this business because I had a passion for stopping precious moments the only way we can, and preserving them for years to come. To celebrate with people through their highs. To cry with them in joy as they marry the loves of their lives. To cheer them on when they need the extra support. To be relatable when life feels lonely. And as I get the honor of adding another bride to the family and the invitation list to our winery tour in June, I am humbly reminded that this business is about community and walking through life with people that have been hand picked just for me. It's about quality over quantity, and this is no different. There are only 3 spots for
left for 2018, and that's just insane to me. I'm eternally grateful.
Two weeks ago I launched a new extension of this business with a free education series. I had high hopes and little expectation because I was full of self-doubt. Self-doubt that I didn't have anything to teach anyone, that people probably didn't care much about my journey in this business, and the list goes on. Here's the thing though, while many things have changed over the last few years, my goal from day one was to never allow myself to lose sight of the fact that I wanted this business to be my own vessel to change the world. That's a pretty lofty goal, but I've found that it's easy if you just be true to who you are, keep your eyes on your own paper, and let fear challenge you (but never let it kill you). I'm weeks behind on blog posts, most of what's been going on at LTP has been out of the public eye, and there was a time I wouldn't have been okay with that. But I've spent hours responding to countless emails where people have used me as a sounding board to share their struggles, people I had NO IDEA were struggling, and people who want to share how empowered they feel being able to implement the tips I've offered through sharing about my real life journey over the last 3 years. It's not all about public acknowledgement, and success isn't all about personal gain. In my opinion, it's very little of either of those. I'm just grateful I didn't let fear hold me back, because this, no doubt, was what I was called to do. I'm thankful I listened. Commit today to changing the world with your own talents. You DO have the ability to teach, and you DON'T have to be an expert on all the things to do so. People just want real life. Join us by using the subscribe link in my bio, we'd love to have you.
I don't post nearly enough pictures of my grooms, and I've made this confession before and still failed. Fun fact: I'm always looking for things to add to my branding, and my most recent addition was personalized cookies by @theruleofcrumb. They're wedding dresses and groom attire, and I HAD TO HAVE pink bow ties. Thanks for being perfectly in tune with my brand, @jbrum21 👍🏼
Another from the Post-Apocalyptic shoot with @tonyaleshire. Makeup by @beautybyphoto and @barbarascheeler Props by @beautybyphoto and @wayward_perspective Thanks everyone for an Awesome shoot! . . .
